A future RounTrey homeowner recently asked, during a tour of the amenities, “Does the social calendar slow down during the holidays at Rountrey with the colder weather?” Our answer: “NO WAY!” It did raise a great topic to discuss as a blog post, though, and will clear up this same common misconception! While temperatures will continue to dip and we can’t have our fun in the sun poolside, we do have a stunning resident clubhouse that can accommodate events big and small. Some events are privately held in the beautiful, craftsman building, but many events are on the social event list for all to enjoy! So what’s on tap?
We love the holidays at Rountrey!
First up, there is a Thanksgiving Food Drive on November 17th, designed to give residents a chance to support the greater good. It’s a perfect event to show little ones the importance of being a caring, contributing citizen to those less fortunate.
2nd annual Holiday Market
The clubhouse will turn into a small business dream on December 6th at our 2nd annual Holiday Market! It is the perfect evening to shop locally owned just in time to get those presents under the tree. Light refreshments are provided while you browse brands like Ayla James, Arbonne, Maslyn Bands and Bows, and many more!
RounTrey’s 3rd Annual Lightsfest
RounTrey’s 3rd Annual Lightsfest will take place the very next night on December 7th from 6-8:30-same location. Free and open to the public, head on out to our beautifully decorated clubhouse and enjoy hot cocoa and festive treats. Dulcie Holland Photography will be here again taking family portraits in front of the fireplace and you will get your photos printed on the spot! After smiling for the camera, grab a ballot and drive around to decide which house is best decorated! It’s a perfect opportunity to blare some Christmas tunes and spend quality time with loved ones.
Residents can head back the following morning, December 8th, and enjoy cookies and cocoa with Santa ! Families will be able to enjoy festive snacks. There will also be stories read by the big man and a photographer to capture family photos.
The final big event of 2018 will be the annual resident Holiday Party. This is a chance for adults to relax and unwind during a sometimes stressful time of year. Homeowners typically get their babysitters lined up for a night of dancing, singing, and tasty food and beverages.
Our vibrant event line-up is certainly not the only draw to our community, but sure tips the scales. For more information on joining the party, year-round, reach out to us here.
