A Very Merry Lights Fest 2017!

Lights Fest Event RounTrey Community

There aren’t many things in life more cheery than holiday lights creating  their soft glow along manicured suburban streets.   Our residents dedicate much time and effort building their custom dream homes that they tend to take holiday garnishing to a pretty serious level (think Clark Griswold but subtract a few notches).  They do it for the nearby neighbors who pass by nightly, for the small kids who beg for an evening trek into the crisp, seasonal air, and mostly for the endless joy it brings out of their own December pride!

Our RounTrey Lights Fest, going two years strong, has proven to be a annual favorite based on home entries and event turnout!  Home entries for the event more than tripled in a matter of twelve calendar months and we heard many ‘I am definitely entering next year’s from chatter amongst current and future neighbors.  As families entered the RounTrey Clubhouse(pictured above)-which is a Lights Fest in its own right-they stumbled upon a festive sight which included a fireplace and commanding tree turned photography studio. Dulcie Holland Photography created a beautiful scene, perfectly cozy for a family moment.

Hot chocolate and sugar cookies were stop number 1 for most as they grabbed their community map and ballot and went on their merry way.  After driving to 27 participating homes throughout RounTrey and NewMarket Estates, participants ran inside to excitedly cast their votes!  Congratulations to the Caruso Family in our Graythorne neighborhood for being the fan favorite and winning the grand prize (pictured below)!
